Making "HEAD" Episode 9

In this episode we attempt to blow up a puppet…  And start filming!

In this episode some of the cast and crew are asked the classic question is asked: "What's your favorite scary movie?"

In this episode Gabe comes up with a terrible idea, Jon then babbles on about what's been going on for the past year, then Jon and Ben location scout, and finally - Manda stabs her hand but plays it cool.  As cool as a hungry suicidal cowboy.

Although on a break from production some of the Elmwood gang and friends wandered into the woods in Bristol, CT to do some location scouting... And Jim fell in the mud.

 

Making Head Episode 4

Since the last episode there was along break. A third writer was brought in during that time to take a stab at the script, Brian Woodman. Upon Brian finishing his draft Jon did one more pass on it, and the Elmwood crew agreed it was time to look into casting. 
Right away they found a lead in friend Jordan Deschene. With Jordan in tow Jon and the gang started casting further and had a few productions meetings during 2011. The movie was placed on hold while Elmwood wrapped up a few other projects. The spring of 2012 saw a table reading of the script with some potential cast members, Jordan was unable to attend. Sadly before production could begin Jordan passed away. This very short video is a look into that reading. After Jordan's death Elmwood decided to put the production on hold until the fall.


In late 2012 we produced a music video for our film "Josh and Todd: The Story of A Man and His Puppet", dedicating it to Jordan's memory...

Making Head Episode 3

In episode 3 screenwriter J.R. Calvo gets a look at Jon's draft, and J.R. later does a second draft.
Then Jon's "Josh and Todd" co-director reads it and makes a decision on co-directing this one too.
